- At $300,000 of dwelling coverage.
- Standard deductible
- $1,000
- Applies to everyday claims.

- What you would pay out of pocket on $300,000 of coverage before a storm claim pays anything — not the $1,000 above.
- Insurer of last resort
- Kentucky FAIR Plan Reinsurance Association
- Kentucky's insurer of last resort, continuously in operation since 1968. A non-profit residual market mechanism that makes basic property coverage available to applicants who, through a licensed producer, have exhausted the voluntary market and cannot obtain coverage there, with costs and losses distributed across the member insurers. It writes Dwelling Fire, Homeowner, Commercial Property and Farm policies. Applications must be submitted by a licensed producer and are subject to the Plan's own underwriting, so acceptance is not automatic. As with any FAIR plan, coverage is narrower and generally more expensive than a voluntary-market homeowners policy - it is a backstop, not a shopping option.
