Reporting a wrong or outdated figure

Corrections are the most useful mail this site gets. To make one quick to act on, include:

  • the page address (the URL in your browser);
  • the figure you believe is wrong, as it appears on the page;
  • what it should be, with a link to the official source — a state revenue department, insurance regulator, HUD, or statute.

Every state figure on the site is stored with its source and the date it was checked; switch a calculator to Expert mode to see them. See the methodology page for how figures are sourced and updated.

What this site does not do

It is not a lender, broker, insurer or adviser, and it does not pass messages or calculator inputs to any of them. Nothing you send here is used for anything but replying to you. Calculator results are estimates for your own planning, not financial, legal or tax advice.
